Mr. Thompson has been a partner in the Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP law firm since March 2005 has served as Independent Chairman of the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions since March 2005 and has been President of Logistics Health Inc. (medical readiness and homeland security solutions) since February 2005. Mr. Thompson has been a director of C. R. Bard since August 2005 and is a member of the Science and Technology Committee and Regulatory Compliance Committee. Mr. Thompson is a recipient of the prestigious Horatio Alger Award.
