Tom Williamson is the Managing Partner of Lucas Group - Legal Search in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. Prior to joining Lucas Group, Tom was a principal of The Williamson Group, a leading legal search firm in Washington, D.C., where he was head of the firm's merger and practice group division. The Williamson Group merged with Lucas Group in February 2005. Tom works with law firms nationally in connection with partner and practice group placements and mergers. Many of his engagements are on a retained basis. Tom has been involved in some of Washington, D.C.'s largest practice group transactions and law firm mergers.
Tom was previously a founding partner, president and chief operating officer of The JHM Group, an affiliate of the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company that specialized in creating and managing asset-based securities. He practiced law in the areas of real estate securities and finance from 1978 to 1988. Tom received his B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University and J.D. from Washington University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. |
