Thomas J. Westgate, CPA, CVA, is a partner with Carlin, Charron & Rosen, LLP in the Business Valuation and Litigation Support Services Group and has more than 25 years of public accounting experience. He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst specializing in valuations of closely held businesses. Mr. Westgate graduated summa cum laude from Bryant College with a B.S. in business administration, majoring in accounting. Mr. Westgate specializes in business valuations and litigation support as well as providing management advisory services to closely-held businesses. He has been an expert witness in both federal and Rhode Island courts and has presented seminars on business valuations and other topics. He has also served as a Special Master to the U.S. District Court. Mr. Westgate is a Past President of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants and served on its Board of Directors. He serves as Rhode Island's representative to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Council, which is the governing body of the profession. He is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Institute of Business Appraisers, the Institute of Management Accountants and the Rhode Island Estate Planning council. Mr. Westgate is a Past President of the Bryant College alumni Association and a Member of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Boy's and Girl's Club of Rhode Island. He is also a member of the School of Management and Technology Advisory Board of Rhode Island College. |
