Prior to joining Synchrony, Tom served as a strategy consultant to a number of top-tier private equity clients advising on several alternative energy and clean-tech investment strategies. In addition Tom consulted on active ownership best practices, helping clients to develop active ownership training programs for senior management. Prior to consulting, Tom spent seven years in the enterprise software industry as an engineer, general manager, strategic advisor, and entrepreneur. In his last position, Tom directed the R&D department at Outcome, a rapidly growing EDC and data analytics company servicing the pharmaceutical and health care markets. Prior to Outcome he developed technical strategies and solutions for dozens of companies, ranging from startups to fortune 100 enterprises, and across a range of industries including healthcare, financial services, consumer electronics, and fine arts. Tom is a 2008 MBA candidate at the MIT Sloan School of Management, and holds an A.B with highest honors in Computer Science from Dartmouth College. He is a competitive rower, an avid skier, and an outdoor enthusiast. |
