Tom Pollard - Vice President, Marketing Tom Pollard brings over 19 years of experience in marketing, business development, and engineering development to his role as vice president of marketing. Prior to joining SKY, Mr. Pollard was worldwide marketing director for Texas Instruments’ Wireless Chipset Business Unit where he led the product management, strategic marketing, and wireless operator activities for TI’s GPRS/EDGE, UMTS, and CDMA chipset product lines. He was also director of product marketing for Dot Wireless; and senior positions with WaveWare Communications, Sony Wireless, and TRW Systems Engineering Lab. Mr. Pollard holds multiple communications patents, has been published in numerous technical and industry publications, and is a frequent high-profile speaker at wireless industry events. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Harvey Mudd College and a master’s of engineering in communications and signal processing from the University of Southern California.
