Tom founded Command Information in 2005, raising money from the Carlyle Group and acquiring 3 companies, to form the largest and fastest growing IPv6 solutions company in America, with over $50 million dollars of revenue and over 350 employees. Under Tom’s leadership, Command provides next-generation services and solutions to the Fortune 500 and Federal, State, and local governments. In 2004, Tom founded the IPv6 Business Council as an IETF working group under their v6 task force, and published a critically acclaimed book, Mapping Security, on information security, privacy and governance around the world.
Tom has been the partner in charge of security services for Deloitte in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; the founding managing director of BearingPoint’s global managed services business; and IBM's chief strategist for electronic commerce. He has served as a board member for several public companies, has advised all three branches of the U.S. Government on Internet and security policy, and is a trusted advisor to company executives across the globe.
Tom received his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, and is a periodic lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, and the University of Virginia’s Darden school. |
