Tom Malone is managing director of the Private Capital Group at Daniels & Associates. This group structures and places equity and debt financings for media, Internet and telecommunications clients, worldwide. Mr. Malone has worked in the financial services industry for 20 years. For approximately 16 of those years, he worked extensively in financing the media and telecommunications industries. He spent 14 years at Chase Securities and Chase Manhattan Bank. As a managing director at Chase, he played a major role in consolidation of the radio, cable television, out-of-home advertising, broadcast television, cable TV programming and telecommunications industries. Mr. Malone was a managing director in both Chase's Global Syndicated Finance Group and Chase's Acquisition Finance Group, specifically covering the private equity community and financial sponsors. In that capacity, he was involved in all aspects of corporate finance including bank loans, high yield bonds, mezzanine debt and private equity mandates, as well as providing merger and acquisition advice for the bank's customers. Mr. Malone earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from St. John's University. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Kenya for two years and returned to the United States to attend graduate school. He received a master's degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Phoenix. |
