Tom Loveland founded Mind Over Machines in 1989. A self-taught software engineer, Tom demonstrated leadership qualities early in his career as teams under his direction delivered successful application development projects for government and commercial clients. Tom has instilled his business philosophy in the Mind Over Machines culture, placing a high priority on client satisfaction. To that end, every potential engagement is carefully considered to confirm compatibility between the client’s requirements and the Company’s capabilities. Company success and client success are a single goal. Tom founded the Maryland Computer Services Association, a statewide lobbying organization advocating for public policies that drive broad-based prosperity for all citizens of Maryland. He sits on the Board of the Greater Baltimore Technology Council and other civic organizations. He is a graduate of Leadership Maryland and was a co-Chair of The B'MORE Fund, a giving circle, and of MoshPit!, a statewide, university-level business plan competition. He is a member of numerous industry and professional associations, has published articles in national programming journals, and spoken and keynoted at national and international software industry conferences. Tom attended the University of Washington, St. John’s College, and the University of Chicago. |
