Tom Kieffer founded Agiliti in 1999 and served as Chief Executive Officer until the company was acquired in 2005 by VeriCenter. Agiliti developed a solid customer base of recognized mid-size to large businesses, which have transitioned successfully to VeriCenter's managed services.
Since the early eighties, Mr. Kieffer has pursued entrepreneurial opportunities with a technology focus. In 1986, he founded Connect, an information technology consulting and services company that eventually occupied five Midwest offices and employed more than 200 people. Connect grew to $25M in revenue before successfully merging with Norstan in 1996. Mr. Kieffer served as the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Norstan until 1998. He and his team also built a leading independent Information Technology training firm and sold it to Aris Corporation in 1997.
Mr. Kieffer served as Chairman of the Minnesota Software Association, which is now the Minnesota High Tech Association, from 1995 to 1997. He continues to be active as a member of the Board of Directors, and has a particular interest in growing the number of technology companies that make their home in the Upper Midwest. Mr. Kieffer speaks regularly on the topics of entrepreneurship and leadership, and on technology trends and strategy. He is a technology device patent holder and also the author of Get Connected, A Guide to Telecommunications, published by Prentice Hall/Ashton-Tate Publishing Group in 1983. Mr. Kieffer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University. |
