Tom Kane was named President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Television Stations Group (formerly Viacom Television Stations Group), in September 2005. In this role, he oversees all operations of the group's local television stations properties. Kane most recently served as President of Sales for the Viacom Television Stations Group. Previously, he was President of Viacom Television Stations Spot Sales, where he oversaw national spot sales for 25 Viacom stations. Before joining the company, Kane worked for seven years as President and General Manager of WABC-TV New York, the flagship station of the ABC Owned Station Group. He also previously served as President and General Manager of WPVI-TV, the ABC O&O in Philadelphia. Before that, Kane served in a variety of positions at WABC, including General Sales Manager (1986-1993), Sales Manager (1982-1986) and Account Executive (1975-1977). In between, he served as an Account Executive for ABC Spot Sales in Detroit (1977-1978) and ABC's New York Spot Sales office (1978-1979), where he was promoted to Eastern Sales Manager (1979-1982). |
