Hughes has been involved with the USBL for roughly four years prior to being named as an Expansion Coordinator in 2006. In 1998 Tom served as the Assistant General Manager and Assistant Coach of the New Hampshire Thunderloons. When the Cagerz were moved from Columbus, Ohio to Salina, Kansas in 1999, Tom Hughes took the reigns as Vice President of Basketball Operations, General Manager and coach of the team. He spent the next two years working with the community to help build one of the strongest franchises in USBL history while also developing the entire Midwest Division into what it is today. The Cagerz won the USBL's Southern Division in 1999 and only lost two home games between 1999 and 2000. Hughes also coordinated the 1999 and 2000 USBL Post-Season Tournaments that were held in Salina. Hughes will handle inquiries in the Southeast and lives in Valosta, GA. |
