Starting in film production in New York City in 1988, Tom Forrest has been producing television programming, commercials and music videos for over fifteen years. Tom founded Taillight TV in 2000. Taillight TV is a full service production company based on Nashville's famous music row that develops and produces a wide variety of programming including television series, variety specials, comedy shows, live events & concerts, music videos & documentaries. Tom has worked with both pop and country music's biggest names in many different live or concert events and programs. Taillight is currently in production on episodes of the critically acclaimed CMT Crossroads, Cross Country and recently wrapped the tentpole CMT series Giants for Hank Williams, Jr. In 2007, Taillight developed and produced a new standup comedy series for CMT featuring some of the nation's funniest comics (including Last Comic Standing winner Jon Reep). Tom produced hundreds of episodes for the daily strip series Most Wanted Live in the early days of the CMT Network, which quickly became a signature show and ratings winner for CMT (think MTV's TRL). In addition to shows in production, Taillight is currently developing a slate of reality, docudrama, music and non-music related programming for broadcast and cable. Taillight is aggressively expanding on its music foundation to branch out into production of non-music related television series and specials. Taillight also has a thriving music video production business & represents six talented directors. Since 2000, Taillight TV has produced hundreds of hours of programming and music videos with artists such as Kid Rock, Steven Tyler, Joss Stone, LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, Dave Matthews, Dixie Chicks, Bon Jovi, Sugarland, Lionel Richie, Kenny Rogers, Lyle Lovett, Elton John, Reba, Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Sara Evans, Miranda Lambert, Wynonna, Vince Gill, Dolly Parton, Kelly Clarkson, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr. and Dierks Bentley. Tom sits on the NARAS Nashville Chapter Board of Governors. He is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Academy of Country Music (ACM) and Country Music Association (CMA). Tom, his wife, Kristen, and three daughters live in Nashville. |
