Tom is a creative and highly skilled negotiator and problem solver with over 15 years of franchise development success. In 1994, he joined ITT Sheraton and was instrumental in franchising efforts to roll out the Four Points by Sheraton brand, selling 36 licenses representing 7,900 guestrooms. Tom played a leading roll in the franchise development of Sheraton, Westin, and Four Points after Starwood Hotels Worldwide acquired ITT Sheraton. Previous to 1994, Mr. Foley spent 18 years in a similar role with Holiday Inn Worldwide and Bass PLC closing over 125 franchise agreements representing 17,000 guestrooms. Tom is uniquely qualified to bring the franchisor's perspective to the real estate transaction process spanning upscale, mid-scale and limited service properties.
Tom has forged a very productive relationship with the Apple REIT Companies, completing four high profile sales of Hilton and Marriott branded hotels to this major hotel investment company in 2005 and 2006.
Tom received his Bachelor of Science degree from Bentley College in 1969. He is recognized as a Certified Hotel Administrator by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Motel Association and has been a guest lecturer at Johnson and Wales University. |
