Tom Duvall is Vice President - West Region for Major, Lindsey & Africa. This includes MLA's offices in Chicago, Milwaukee, Texas (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin), Northern California (San Francisco and Palo Alto), Southern California (Los Angeles and San Diego) and Seattle. In this region, Tom has overall responsibility for recruiting operations and financial results. He also has firm-wide practice support responsibility for MLA's In-house Placement Group and works closely with the Global Head of the In-house Placement Group to develop practice strategy, best practices and business plans.
Prior to joining MLA, Tom was Chief Operating Officer of two publicly held companies, Cayenta, Inc. - a subsidiary of Titan Corp (NYSE: TTN) - and Braun Consulting, Inc. (NASDAQ: BRNC). Earlier in his career, Tom was a partner in the consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in both Chicago and Pittsburgh. In his consulting capacity, Tom specialized in profitability analysis and the disciplines necessary to improve performance, including cost management, process improvement, technology implementation and change management.
Tom has also been active in a number of venture startups and has been associated with several organizations in that arena including the Corporate Directors Forum. He is also a Fellow of the Zazi Forum, an independent group of senior scientists, technologists and analysts that bring years of managerial and operational experience together to identify, study and resolve key issues facing government agencies and commercial enterprises.
Tom obtained his B.S. in business administration and economics from the University of Indianapolis where he was named Outstanding Marketing Student in his senior year. Tom subsequently earned his M.B.A. degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he graduated first in his class.
Tom and his family live in the East Bay Area near San Francisco, which affords them easy access to their winter hobby of skiing and their summer hobby of visiting the many beautiful vistas and points of interest in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. |
