Tom Caywood is the Executive Director Online Classified/Belo Interactive Media, and oversees the strategy for classified advertising market growth and revenues for Belo sites. These areas include Real Estate, Automotive, Recruitment, Consumer classified and shopping. Tom has over 25 years of newspaper and online advertising experience. Tom joined Belo in January 2004 and served as Vice President-Classified Advertising for The Dallas Morning News. Prior to Belo, Tom worked in several online classified positions for Knight-Ridder Digital, most recently as the Sr. Director of Classified Sales Initiatives. Prior to joining Knight-Ridder Digital in 1998, Tom was Sales and Marketing Manager for Kentucky.com, the Lexington Herald-Leader’s online newspaper. Tom began his career in Lexington in 1981 with the Herald-Leader and served in a number of sales and management capacities throughout his tenure with the paper. Tom is a 1980 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.B.A. in Business. He is married (Martha) with three children (Talbot, Alec and Max). Tom is active with the Newspaper of Association of America and serves on the board for the Classified Federation and as board liaison with the New Media Federation. |
