Dr. Caulfield is the executive vice-president of Sales Marketing and Customer Satisfaction for Novellus Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: NVLS). Before joining Novellus in October 2005 Dr. Caulfield spent 16 years with IBM where he held several positions in executive management. Most recently at IBM he was vice-president of 300mm Semiconductor Operations responsible for IBM's premier semiconductor facility in East Fishkill N.Y. Before joining IBM Dr. Caulfield was a senior member of the research staff at Phillips Laboratory and began his career in high-tech at Columbia University. Dr. Caulfield received a B.S. in Physics from St. Lawrence University and a B.S. M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science/Metallurgy from Columbia University.
