As Vice President of Industry Relations at Blackboard Inc., Tom Bell works closely with members of the educational community focusing on campus services. Tom has two decades of experience working in the higher education industry, including a long stint as Executive Director of Campus Auxiliary Services, Inc. at the State University of New York at Geneseo, He has conducted dozens of seminars on ID technology, debit card systems, electronic imaging and other technologies for a variety of professional groups. These include NACAS, NACCU, NACUBO and Card Tech/Secur Tech. Tom served NACAS as Workshop Leader and Instructor for twelve 1-day "All Campus Card" workshops. Tom has been active in a variety of professional and volunteer organizations. He served as President of the SUNY Auxiliary Services Association as well as Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of this statewide organization. He was Chair of the Membership Committee of NACAS as well as the Chair of the Auxiliary Services Association Subcommittee of the State University Business Officers Association. He has been a member and chair of the SUNYCard Project Team and Task Force. Tom was one of four founding Directors of the National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU) as well as serving as President and Chairman of the Board for six years. |
