Tom Anderson was the inventor and principal investigator during the five-year e-Touch project at Sandia National Laboratories. At Sandia, Tom was a pioneer in the field of haptics (haptics refers to our sense of touch) and developed the core technology for Novint's applications. He was a Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia until he obtained an exclusive license from Sandia and founded Novint Technologies. Tom has a BS in Electrical Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of New Mexico, and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, where he studied both computer interface technology and business management. |
