Tom A. Wimsett is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Iron Triangle Payment Systems. From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Wimsett served as the President and CEO of National Processing Company (NYSE: NAP). During this time frame, NAP refocused on its core business units by selling and/or closing five business lines and twenty operating centers around the world. Simultaneously, core revenues for the company increased by over 60% while profits nearly quadrupled. Market capitalization of NAP, which started in 1999 at $275 million, peaked at nearly $1.8 billion just prior to September 11, 2001.
From 1995-1998, Mr. Wimsett served as an executive officer of National Processing Company. First, as President of NPC Check Services and later as Executive Vice President over all of merchant services. Under Mr.Wimsett’s leadership, NAP’s merchant business was transformed from a serving a narrow base of national retailers to providing multifaceted merchant processing services to over 650,000 merchant locations nationwide, through more than 1500 direct and indirect sales executives.
In addition to a successful 19 year career at National Processing Company, Mr. Wimsett has served as a director of the MasterCard U.S. Region Board and as a director of the Electronic Transaction Association (ETA). |
