Mr. Neal has extensive experience in business litigation matters, including breach of contract, securities, fraud, product liability, employment and breach of fiduciary duty. He has special expertise in partnership/shareholder disputes, in issues relating to the wireless communications industry, in matters dealing with regulatory compliance, and in white-collar criminal cases including Medicare fraud, RICO and securities violations. Mr. Neal has tried cases in three states, and has served as lead trial counsel in more than 20 jury trials. Additionally, he served as lead trial counsel in Ohler v. U.S., 120 S.Ct. 1851 (2000), a case that was eventually reviewed by the United States Supreme Court, and he has appeared before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on seven occasions. A member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Mr. Neal is also the author of "The Fourth Amendment and the Exclusionary Rule," a chapter in the 1998 treatise, "Defending a Federal Criminal Case." He is licensed to practice law in California and Illinois, and he is also a member of the Board of Directors of The San Diego Repertory Theatre. |
