Todd H. Becker, a co-manager of Mercator Ventures Fund I, has 20 years of technology, venture capital, management consulting, and operations experience. Todd is presently Senior Vice President, Technology & Product Engineering for CBS OuterNet, (formerly SignStorey). Previously, Todd was managing director of Next Generation Ventures, a Connecticut-based venture capital firm building seed-stage technology companies, including SignStorey. Prior to NextGen, Becker was the founder and managing director of PomeGranate Ventures, a venture capital and consulting firm. During this time, Becker helped launch or grow seven technology companies, three of which went public or were later acquired. Todd was also a principal with Pittiglio, Rabin, Todd & McGrath (PRTM), a leading management consulting firm serving technology-driven companies. He also worked for Texas Instruments, General Electric, and Hewlett-Packard as a technical sales rep, design engineer and process engineer, A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Todd holds a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering and computer science, and a master of science degree in management from MIT's Sloan School of Management. As an undergraduate, Todd earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Todd is a member of the MIT Enterprise Forum, the MIT Entrepreneurship Society, the Connecticut Venture Group and the Mass Interactive Media Council. He also serves on the steering committees of the New York-based Tristate Ventures angel network and the New York New Media Association (NYNMA) angel group |
