Mr. Feinsmith practices in the areas of business reorganization, workouts and debt restructuring, creditor’s rights and secured lending. He has represented chapter 11 debtors, creditors’ committees, trustees, secured lenders and other parties in large, complex chapter 11 reorganization cases involving a variety of industries including airlines, retailers, manufacturing companies and financial service concerns, among others.
In 2001, Mr. Feinsmith served as lead counsel in the successful reorganization of Shuttle America Corporation, a regional airline, and now a code share partner of U.S. Airways. Mr. Feinsmith has also served as counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in connection with the successful reorganization of Business Express, Inc. (a/k/a the Delta Connection), which was then the largest regional airline servicing the Northeast United States.
In 1995, at the request of Shawmut Bank, N.A. (predecessor to Fleet National Bank of Massachusetts), Mr. Feinsmith spent one year as special in-house counsel to the Managed Assets Division where he represented the Bank in real estate and commercial and industrial workouts and debt restructurings.
