Tim Cremin specializes in land use and environmental law, including the California Environmental Quality Act, the California Coastal Act, and State and local planning, zoning and subdivision laws. Tim has substantial experience in advising on all aspects of the entitlement process for development projects from project formulation through administrative review and approval. He has particular expertise in documentation and findings under the California Environmental Quality Act. Mr. Cremin has represented public and private clients in litigation involving land use and environmental decisions. His significant projects include adoption of general plans, zoning codes and specific plans, negotiation of development agreements, development and defense of environmental impact reports, and drafting of entitlement documents and findings for major projects.Prior to joining Meyers Nave, Tim represented both private and public clients. He successfully obtained entitlements for various types of large and complex development projects, including residential subdivisions, big box retail, mixed-use development , transit-oriented development, and hotels. He also served as assistant city attorney for several Southern California cities, where he provided advice regarding planning, zoning, environmental, real property, subdivision, election (initiative and referendum), open meeting, and conflict of interest laws. Mr. Cremin also has experience in real estate law, including real property due diligence and acquisition.Tim received his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. He received the American Jurisprudence Award in both Constitutional Law and Criminal Law and served as an intern at the East Bay Community Law Clinic. He received his B.A. with honors and distinction from Stanford University. |
