Current responsibility
Tim is a principal and actuary with the Seattle office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1997.
Experience
Tim has expertise in a wide range of health related programs. He has advised clients regarding medical (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, CHAMPUS, and VA), dental, disability and long-term care. He assists clients with plan design, pricing, financial projections, provider reimbursement, risk assessment, estimation of liabilities, experience analysis, and reinsurance. He works with insurance companies, managed care plans, hospitals, physician groups, multiple employer trusts, reinsurers, governments, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield organizations.
Tim has managed several firmwide research projects, including development of the Reinsurance Health Cost Guidelines and Claim Probability Distributions. He has also written a research report on diagnostic risk adjusters.
