Timothy R. Casgar is a principal in the Baltimore and Easton, Maryland, offices. Mr. Casgar's experience encompasses a variety of corporate, finance and real estate matters. He currently represents businesses, lenders, developers and joint venture partners in real estate developments in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. Projects include residential development, commercial and large office development, shopping centers and urban redevelopment. His clients are typically developers within the region (Metropolitan Companies, Himmelrich Companies, Quadrangle Development), as well as lenders and large corporate clients such as Wal-Mart, Honeywell, Charles E. Smith Companies, Jackson National Life Insurance, Texaco and Citgo. In addition, he has a general background ranging from utility rate regulation, bank holding company work, corporate/business representation and a variety of matters representing corporations and partnerships in various forms of business ventures. Prior to joining Miles & Stockbridge in 1976, Mr. Casgar was vice president and general counsel to Waste Management, Inc., during a three-year period when the company grew ten-fold.
