Dr. Weihs co-founded RNT in 2001 and currently serves as Chief Technical Officer. Dr. Weihs brings over 12 years of experience with materials joining and industrial research to the organization. Prior to co-founding RNT, Dr. Weihs worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where he co-discovered the benefits of using multilayer foils for joining materials. Dr. Weihs is a full Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in Engineering from Dartmouth College’s Thayer School of Engineering, and his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University. In 2002, he was honored by the Daily Record with the "Innovator of the Year" award. Dr. Weihs has published more than 55 technical papers, obtained eight U.S. patents and has 12 patents pending |
