Mr. Nagy, a partner in the Columbus office of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, received his B.A. from The Ohio State University in 1971 and his J.D. from Capital Law School in 1974. Mr. Nagy has advised and represented nonprofit and for profit corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships in general business matters, including formation and dissolution, tax-free reorganizations, securities offerings, general real estate transactions, and financing transactions. He has acted as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, and trustee's counsel in connection with private activity bond financing, has advised financial institutions on regulatory and product/service development and distribution, as well as represented information industry companies in hardware and software contract negotiations, and data base copyright law. He has also represented academic medical centers, physician group practices and specialty hospitals in a variety of health care law matters, including joint ventures, physician governance, consolidation, sale and merger, intellectual property development and licensing, hospital/physician arrangements including Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark II and Ohio Law regulatory compliance, general corporate compliance with health care law, and compliance with state, and federal law and regulations governing the confidentiality of patient health information under HIPAA. Mr. Nagy is listed as a member of the Who's Who in Executives and Professionals, 2005-2006 Edition, and has received Certificates of Commendation from Tommy G. Thompson, former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, and former Ohio Governor Bob Taft recognizing his twenty years of services to the Organ Procurement and Solid Organ Transplant community of organizations. He has been awarded an AV Peer Review Rating from LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell Attorney Ratings from 1988 to the present. |
