Tim Dordell joined The Toro Company as vice president, deputy general counsel in November 2006 and was elected by the board of directors as vice president, secretary and general counsel in May 2007. He was previously employed at Ecolab Inc., a Fortune 500 specialty chemicals manufacturing company located in St. Paul, Minnesota. While there, he served as associate general counsel corporate and assistant secretary since 2002. Tim managed the law department’s Corporate Group and was responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley and corporate governance, SEC and New York Stock Exchange compliance, board activities, and more. Prior to that role at Ecolab, Tim also served as senior attorney handling mergers and acquisitions and international law. In addition, he has several years of experience in private practice as an attorney and legal consultant in Arizona and the Twin Cities.
Tim received his bachelor of arts degree, summa cum laude, from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, including a term at Cambridge University in England. He received his juris doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. He was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1987 and the Minnesota State Bar association in 1989. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and many other legal and professional organizations. |
