Mr. Zix is a partner in the Cleveland office of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. He focuses his practice on workers' compensation, intentional tort, unemployment, employment discrimination, and general litigation law. In addition to representing state-funded and self-insured employers administratively, Mr. Zix also has successfully represented employers in state trial and appellate courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit, in matters including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, and general business issues. He earned a degree in business administration from the University of Dayton in 1987, and received his law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1991. Mr. Zix is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland Bar Associations and arbitrator at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. He is a frequent lecturer on various topics relating to labor law, including wrongful termination, and workers' compensation. Mr. Zix was named in The National Registry of Who's Who in 2000 and was chosen as one of Ohio's Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2005 and 2006 by Cincinnati Magazine. |
