Timothy L. Pullen is Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for Tenet Healthcare Corporation.
Pullen, 51, oversees the company’s finance and accounting departments, including budgeting, corporate financial reporting and planning, general accounting, government programs, operational reimbursement, tax and risk management. He reports to Robert S. Shapard, Tenet’s Chief Financial Officer.
Pullen joined The Hillhaven Corporation, a subsidiary of National Medical Enterprises, one of Tenet’s predecessor companies, in 1983 and served in various executive positions, including Vice President, Finance. He became Vice President and Controller of Tenet in 1995 and was promoted to Senior Vice President and Controller in 1999. He was named Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer in June 2003.
Pullen has a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y., and a master’s degree in business administration from Seattle University. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
