Tim practices information technology and intellectual property law. He advises a diverse range of emerging and established clients on Internet and e commerce law, including website development and hosting agreements; Application Service Provider agreements; business to business marketplaces; content licensing and provider liability; terms of use; privacy and other regulatory issues; and click-wrap agreements. Tim also offers experience in the legal areas of software development and licensing, outsourcing, Enterprise Resource Planning implementations, beta testing, and shrink wrap agreements. He provides general advice, prosecution and licensing counsel regarding trademarks, copyrights and domain names. He also assists clients with litigation and dispute resolution involving these information technology and intellectual property issues. Tim is a member of the American, Federal, Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations, as well as the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. He is a frequent speaker at legal and professional seminars on Internet law, speech regulation and copyright issues. He also is a former trustee of the Clean Air Conservancy and the Northern District of Ohio Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Tim has been an associate in the law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey; the acting executive director of National Public Telecomputing Network; an adjunct instructor in appellate advocacy at the Case Western Reserve University Law School; and president of Connors Productions, Inc., a computer multimedia design firm. Tim began his tenure with Calfee in 1998 and became a partner in 2005. |
