Tim Mains is responsible for all of EMG’s legal and contract matters and for establishing and reviewing all legal and risk management policies, plans, positions, and documents. Tim works closely with EMG’s clients to develop contracts and master service agreements that are used to devise scopes of work and procedures necessary to successfully complete their projects. Tim also provides legislative and regulatory advice with respect to issues that arise on clients’ due diligence projects. Tim is a seasoned corporate attorney and government affairs executive with extensive experience in legal and risk management issues, legislative and regulatory matters, construction/engineering, litigation management, negotiation and training. He is a published author and lecturer on topics such as risk management, procurement, licensure and lobbying. Most recently Tim worked for the Design-Build Institute of America where he was the Vice President of Government Affairs and Business Policy since 2001. In this role, his primary responsibilities involved determining and advancing the association’s legislative and regulatory agenda at the federal and state level, advising and educating public officials on the use of design-build and DBIA’s positions and providing legal support to the legislative, licensure and political action committees, the Board and the membership. Prior to that, Tim spent 15 years in the private sector with NUS Corporation, Dow Environmental and Radian International in increasingly responsible legal and business positions. Tim is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College and received his law degree from Duquesne University. |
