Timothy J. Alvino is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s New York office. He is co-chair of the Firm’s Corporate Department and serves on the Firm’s Management Committee. Tim’s principal areas of practice include business organizations, project finance, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He also has experience in capital markets and real estate transactions.
Tim represents U.S. and foreign companies in mergers and acquisitions, the formation of joint ventures (including limited liability companies and limited partnerships) and project development and finance. Tim also provides advice with respect to other corporate matters including shareholder’s agreements, capital markets activities and corporate governance.
During law school Tim was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and the Executive Editor of The Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. At Columbia College he was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Tim is a member of the New York Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Tim serves on the Board of Visitors to the Columbia Law School and is also an advisor and past president of the Columbia Law School Association.
