Tim Wennes is President and Chief Operating Officer of Countrywide Bank, FSB, one of the largest banks in America, and a member of the Countrywide Financial Corporation family of companies. Additionally, Wennes is a Senior Managing Director of Countrywide Financial Corporation.
As President and Chief Operating Officer, Wennes is responsible for all of the bank's operational, strategic, financial and administrative activities. Additionally, he oversees the bank's core business functions including lending, commercial banking, document custody services, information technology, and operations, as well as ReconTrust, N.A., a subsidiary bank specializing in mortgage reconveyance and trustee services.
Wennes also has management responsibility for the company's innovative retail bank, including its diverse savings-oriented product line, distribution channels, sales team and technical and deposit operations. Under his leadership, Countrywide Bank has expanded its retail presence to more than 100 financial centers in 13 states and grown its asset base to nearly $100 billion.
Prior to joining Countrywide Bank, Wennes held various leadership and management positions with Wells Fargo Bank, most recently serving as a regional president. During his 14 years with Wells Fargo, Wennes compiled an impressive track record for exceeding sales, service and financial objectives, which has helped him in pushing Countrywide Bank to become one of the most innovative, efficient and customer-focused banks in America.
Wennes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration, with an emphasis on international business, from California State University, Fullerton. |
