Timothy F. Cummins Timothy F. Cummins is a Managing Director in the Valuation & Financial Opinions Group. He has significant experience in the provision of valuation and litigation advisory consulting services to Fortune 500 companies, middle market corporations, private equity funds, law firms, accounting firms, and financial institutions. His asset and business valuation experience encompasses a wide range of industries for numerous purposes including: fairness opinions; solvency opinions; purchase price allocation; goodwill and long-lived asset impairment testing; option valuation; state, national and international corporate tax matters; purchase and sale advisement; bankruptcy and reorganization; shareholder disputes; corporate strategic planning; estate and gift tax planning; and Employee Stock Ownership Plans. Mr. Cummins has consulted in a wide variety of industries, including professional sports franchises, professional sports venues, radio and television broadcast stations and ownership groups, newspaper and magazine publishers, commercial printers, motion picture and television production companies, and wireless telecommunications service providers. In addition, he has served clients in the agriculture, business software, cable television, community banking, consumer electronics, direct marketing, engineering, equipment financing, executive recruiting, freight transportation, healthcare, packaging, fast casual and fast-food restaurant franchises, sporting goods, temporary staffing, and unarmed security services industries, among others. Mr. Cummins has published articles on the topics of professional sports franchise and asset valuation and has spoken regarding the provision of financial opinions. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Cummins was a Director in the Financial Advisory Services Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Chicago. During his tenure at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he planned, performed, and supervised valuation and consulting engagements for various purposes in a diverse range of industries. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Cummins was an Institutional Trust Officer at Harris Bank in Chicago. Mr. Cummins earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago and a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Association for Corporate Growth, the Business Valuation Association, the ESOP Association, and the Turnaround Management Association.
