Mr. Reilly represents clients involved in business disputes. His practice focuses on those clients involved in the construction, real estate development, and insurance industries. His trial experience includes traditional court and jury cases as well as administrative and appellate proceedings. In the areas of construction and real estate development, he counsels owners, developers, and contractors regarding their contracts and transactions in order to minimize their risks. His litigation experience ranges from the representation of developers in the defense of claims involving soils and drainage conditions at a project to the representation of subcontractors who perform grading, concrete and roofing services. He also represents clients by testifying before the Colorado legislature on issues affecting the construction industry. He provides advice to clients on a variety of insurance issues. His past experience includes serving as Division Counsel and Assistant Attorney General with the South Dakota Division of Insurance from 1994 to 1998. In that capacity, he prosecuted company and agent violations of the Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act, drafted legislation and administrative rules, and lobbied insurance matters during legislative session. He also assists insurers and agents in regulatory proceedings. Mr. Reilly currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association. Mr. Reilly was born in Manhasset, New York and was raised in the Detroit area. When he is not in the office, he enjoys cycling long distances. |
