Trial counsel for Seagate Technology in a billion-dollar patent case in which Siemens AG accused Seagate's hard disc drive products of infringing its patent on GMR sensor technology. After a six-week trial, a jury in the Central District of California returned a complete defense verdict in favor of Seagate, finding that Siemens' patent was invalid for anticipation and obviousness.
Trial counsel for Floe International Inc. in a patent case where Floe accused Newman's Manufacturing of infringing its patented technology for snow-mobile trailers. Following a seven-day trial in Minnesota, the jury returned a verdict in favor of Floe, finding that Newman's had willfully infringed Floe's patent. Litigation counsel for Global Traffic Technologies LLC, a former 3M business, in a patent infringement case involving traffic preemption technology. GTT won numerous sanctions orders, and ultimately obtained a sanction of default judgment on liability and a jury award of $6.75 million in Appellate counsel for Shell Oil/Jiffy Lube in the patent infringement case Transclean Corp. v. Jiffy Lube International, Inc., 474 F.3d 1298 (Fed. Cir. 2007), in which the Federal Circuit affirmed the District Court's grant of summary judgment in favor of Jiffy Lube.
Appellate counsel for The Saunders Group in the patent infringement case The Saunders Group, Inc. v. ConforTrac, Inc., 492 F.3d 1326 (Fed. Cir. 2007), in which The Saunders Group obtained a reversal of the District Court's grant of summary judgment of non-infringement. |
