Mr. Hawkes is an associate in the Litigation Department at Brown Rudnick. He focuses on economic and regulatory litigation relating to postal and delivery services as well as general litigation and appellate matters including constitutional law, insurance bad faith, product liability, contract disputes, and wrongful discharge. He is also experienced in mediation and negotiations.
Mr. Hawkes also has experience assisting Japanese clients with litigation in the United States. He has been a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Japan and speaks conversational Japanese.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hawkes was a litigation associate at a global law firm as well as the Director of Trout Unlimited's Utah Water Project, an initiative to protect and restore Utah's rivers and streams, where he developed groundbreaking water law reform legislation. He has extensive state-level lobbying, networking, and political organizing experience.
