Tim Gary is an accomplished business leader who has been actively involved in managing and operating Gordian for the last several years. Mr. Gary joined BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, the parent company of Gordian, in 1999 as Senior Counsel for Government Relations. He subsequently held positions as Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, and Chief Compliance Officer for Government Programs. Mr. Gary became Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Gordian in 2005. In 2006, he was appointed to the Board of Directors for Volunteer State Health Plan, Inc., a wholly owned, for-profit subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee. In 2007, he was named Vice President and General Counsel for the health plan. Before joining BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Mr. Gary served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Tennessee, General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Transportation, and finally as Assistant Commissioner and General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Personnel. Mr. Gary received his bachelor's degree from Belmont University. He received a doctor of jurisprudence from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law and his master's in business administration from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management. |
