Timo Ihamuotila has been appointed Executive Vice President Sales and Portfolio Management Mobile Phones as of May 1 2007.
In this role Timo will oversee Mobile Phones global sales activities and consumer and operator customer feedback loop to Mobile Phones product portfolio planning as well as Nokia’s CDMA business. Timo will be based in Nokia’s Corporate Office in White Plains New York.
Currently Timo Ihamuotila holds the position of Senior Vice President Nokia’s CDMA business unit an integral part of the Mobile Phones business group. In this role Timo is responsible for the financial results and the overall strategic direction of Nokia’s global CDMA operations based out of Nokia’s CDMA facility in San Diego California.
Prior to joining Nokia Timo worked as an Analyst in Asset and Liability Management for the Kansallis Bank Helsinki. Timo joined Nokia in 1993 as a Manager of Dealing & Risk Management after which Timo left Nokia for a brief time from 1996 until 1999 while he worked for Citibank Plc based in London as Vice President of Nordic Derivates Sales.
In 1999 he rejoined Nokia and was appointed as Director of Corporate Finance and in 2000 was named Vice President Finance Corporate Treasurer of Nokia Corporation Group Treasury. He served as Corporate Treasurer until summer of 2004 when he took over his current role as head of CDMA BU.
Timo graduated from Helsinki School of Economics and holds a degree of Master of Science (Economics) and Licentiate of Science (Finance) having completed all doctoral courses in Finance.
Timo currently resides in San Diego California with his wife Riikka and three children aged 2 6 and 9 years. In his spare time Timo enjoys reading tennis skiing and family activities. |
