Tim Vavla oversees the organizations' fiscal functions, and ensures each of the departments within WorldDoc function and collaborate optimally. Tim's responsibilities include, but are not limited to general accounting, data processing, cash flow management, corporate governance, human resources, facilities, contract management and negotiations. Prior to joining WorldDoc, Tim served 9 years at Sun Microsystems, Inc., a Fortune 200 company and leader in network computing products & services. At Sun, Tim held a variety of financial roles including Senior Finance Manager within their US channel sales organization, Regional Controller of a $500 million sales territory, Finance Manager of a $1 billion service division and various other analytical roles. In addition to these financial roles, Tim also held a position of IT project manager where he was responsible for the modification to existing Oracle financial systems, and the implementation of new web-based applications. Tim's successes include pricing and negotiating Sun's largest utility-based service contract, resulting in significant recurring revenue and margin. He was also instrumental in developing key financial metrics and controls for the service division, resulting in significant improvements to forecast accuracy, sales productivity and quality assurance. Outside of WorldDoc, he is the proud father of six children, serves in various assignments within his Church organization and volunteers within the Boy Scouts of America. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Metropolitan State College of Denver. |
