Smart Software is pleased to have a distinguished, active university professor directing its research and development efforts. Dr. Willemain has held faculty positions at MIT and Harvard University, and is currently Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he teaches forecasting and applied statistics, and researches new forecasting methods. In his vital role at Smart Software, Dr. Willemain directs R&D activities in forecasting and demand planning technology in software applications. He is co-inventor of the company's unique, patented Intermittent Demand Forecasting solution. Dr. Willemain received his B.S. degree summa cum laude in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, and he holds S.M. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT. |
