Tom is responsible for Life & Group Operations Global Resource Managers Corporate Real Estate Corporate Communications the Enterprise Procurement Group and Corporate Safety & Security.
Before joining CNA in January 1998 Tom was with Washington National Insurance Company and its parent Washington National Corporation. He served in a variety of legal and executive capacities including the positions of chairman president and CEO of Washington National Insurance Company.
Tom is a Board member of Boys Hope/Girls Hope (Chicago) and Young Chicago Authors. Tom holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame and his J. D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
