Description of Practice:
Tom Masenga is a partner in the firm's Los Angeles office. His practices specializes in all aspects of real estate investment and finance, including acquisition, development, leasing, management and sales. Mr. Masenga has particular expertise in structuring and closing complex real estate transactions for pension funds, life insurance companies, REITs and other institutional clients. He has assisted pension funds and other institutional investors in the acquisition and disposition of equity real estate investments in most regions of the United States, including the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, D.C., New York and Boston. Mr. Masenga has extensive experience in a broad range of property leasing and operating issues. He regularly represents owners of office, retail and industrial projects, including regional shopping malls and mixed-use projects, in lease negotiations as well as management contracts, reciprocal easement agreements and other operating agreements.
Mr. Masenga has served as a panelist for the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys as well as the California Continuing Education of the Bar. He is a member of the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys, the Pension Real Estate Association, the California State Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Educational History:
Mr. Masenga received his B.A. From the University of Notre Dame magna cum laude, in 1974 and his J.D. from Loyola University of Law, cum laude, in 1977. |
