Tom serves BBK as Director of Human Resources; he is available to serve our clients’ HR requirements as well. He has extensive experience negotiating benefit contracts, developing salary plans and implementing policies/procedures. Professional Experience This BBK professional has more than 35 years of first-hand experience. He spent 16 years with the Equitable, where he served as Division Manager. He has also served as Senior Vice President of HR at Michigan National Corporation and Vice President of HR at NSF International. He has extensive committee involvements and has chaired corporate pension administrative and investment committees as well as served on senior management, risk management and asset liability committees. During Tom’s long career he has directed six HR departments on behalf of a $4.2 Million corporation with 6,000 employees; worked hands-on as VP/HR Director for a not-for-profit company with 300 employees, a software development start-up with 75 employees, and a 100 person professional services company. Notably, in one case he successfully consolidated human resources functions from 26 satellite offices into one corporate function. In another, he directed the major HR and financial aspects of a subsidiary mortgage/savings and loan company during a Corporate Self-Tender (Dutch auction) sale. During his career Tom has directed the formation and implementation of Affirmative Action plans; developed ESOP, stock option, 401(k) plans and corporate bonus/incentive plans; assisted in automating deferred benefits, annual review processes, merit programs and other HR administrative functions; and eased downsizing efforts by negotiating executive severance agreements one-on-one. |
