Mr. Cyr started his first project with automobiles in 1976, and from that point, it became one of his passions, ultimately building up to a career at a dealership, Hamilton Chevrolet, in 1984. After ten years in the dealership environment, holding positions as General Repair Technician, Shop Foreman and Service Manager, Mr. Cyr realized another passion of his, Information Technology. He introduced computerized techniques for processing employee and customer information, including introducing and maintaining dealership IT systems and desktop processes. In 1995, Mr. Cyr became Regional Manager for QEK. In 1998, Mr. Cyr was appointed to IT Senior Manager and became responsible for the development of many critical asset management systems for QEK and its customers, including Events Scheduler, Product Segmentation and company websites. In 2000, Mr. Cyr was named Group Services IT Director and has since been promoted to the organization’s Chief Information Officer (2005). One of Mr. Cyr’s greatest accomplishments during his 20+ years tenure at QEK is the in-house development and design of the organization’s proprietary asset management system. After four years of the system’s development, 2004 marked its first major OEM client, and soon thereafter, other major global OEMs have been utilizing the proprietary operating system as their asset inventory system. Mr. Cyr’s office is located at the company’s headquarters building in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. |
