Thomas Carey is the Senior Vice President, Terminals for Castle Oil Corporation. Mr. Carey joined Castle in 1989 as terminal manager, when the company purchased its terminal at 138th Street in the Bronx. His responsibilities include oversight of operations for all of the company's terminals, including coordinating tanker and barge deliveries, blending of products to required specifications, quality control, and facilities maintenance. Mr. Carey is also the company's chief officer in charge of ensuring each facility's compliance with all rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and local Police and Fire Departments. Prior to joining Castle, Mr. Carey held various positions in petroleum terminals since beginning his career in the industry in 1979. In his personal life, Mr. Carey is an active fundraising committee member for his children's school. He is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a board member of his local parish Catholic Youth Organization. Additionally, he coaches high-school basketball. |
