Tom joined AlphaStaff in August 1998 and is responsible for various aspects of service, sales operations and insurance products. Prior to joining the company, Tom was a Vice President with Strategic Outsourcing, a national PEO based in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he was responsible for developing internal departments and procedures as well as securing workers’ compensation and benefits for client companies. Prior to entering the PEO industry, Tom worked in financial risk management and treasury where he developed cash management policy with investment oversight. He has also formulated and implemented risk finance and tax strategies, including creation of offshore captives. Tom has been a large commercial account underwriter for both Travelers and Safeco Insurance Companies. In this capacity, he helped to develop account review protocols, including actuarially based risk modeling. Tom has a BS degree in Risk Management and Accounting from the University of Georgia. He also holds the CPCU and CLU designations. |
