Thomas R. Van Oss based in London, has been actively involved in advising asset management companies on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other transactions for over a decade. In 1985 he joined Phoenix Securities Limited, a preeminent investment banking firm which was responsible for some of the most important asset management industry transactions in the UK and Europe. Made partner in 1990, Mr. Van Oss was involved in most of the key transactions Phoenix completed in that sector until late 1996 when he joined the senior management team at Aberdeen Asset Management. At Aberdeen he was primarily responsible for formulating its acquisition strategy and leading its efforts to acquire a number of firms in various asset classes including equity, fixed income and private equity. In 1998 he established his own M&A advisory business and affiliated with the Chatsworth Group. Mr. Van Oss also spent several years with Stephen Rose and Partners Limited (1981-1985) and Kleinwort Benson Limited (1978-1981) where he was responsible for originating new issues and structuring private placements. Mr. Van Oss has an MA from Oxford University. |
