Tom R. Del Valle was appointed Senior Vice President - Airport Services in September 2007. Del Valle will oversee all of American’s domestic Airport Operations, Customer Service Planning and the Cargo Division.
Del Valle was previously American Airlines’ Vice President of Customer Services since August 1999. In that role, he was responsible for all of the non-hub stations in the U.S. and Canada, and his direct reports included the Regional Managing Directors - Customer Services, as well as the Managing Directors of New York-Kennedy (JFK), New York-Laguardia (LGA), Boston-Logan International (BOS), San Francisco International (SFO), St. Louis-Lambert International (STL) and Los Angeles International (LAX).
Del Valle started his career with American as a Flight Attendant based in Chicago. He subsequently held a number of management positions in both flight services and passenger services, including Shift Manager at LaGuardia and Dallas/Fort Worth. In 1989, he joined the international division as General Manager in Brussels, Belgium.
Del Valle was named President of the American Eagle’s Executive Airlines operation in San Juan in 1992, and in 1997 he was appointed Managing Director - Customer Services for American Airlines in Los Angeles. |
